Meet Jamie

About Me

As an Education Specialist and Parent Partner with over 25+ years of experience, I offer parents expert insight, personalized resources, and compassionate guidance to navigate their child’s learning and development. My holistic approach helps families connect the dots and create clear, actionable roadmaps that foster growth and lasting success. After meeting with me, parents feel lighter, calmer, and more confident about the next steps in their child’s journey.

My Experience

I began my career as a special education teacher at a therapeutic high school, where I provided whole-class instruction, wrote IEPs, and conducted evaluations. Recognizing a critical gap in coordinated care, I co-founded one of the first multidisciplinary private practices alongside a pediatric neurologist. As the Education Specialist, I bridged communication between families, schools, and medical providers—conducting academic evaluations, supporting research, tutoring, and leading social skills groups.

Later, I launched a private tutoring practice focused on multisensory remedial instruction and executive functioning, collaborating with schools to help students achieve academic success and thrive. As a natural extension of my work with students, I also served as an Education Advocate, assisting families in navigating both school-based services and broader government-funded programs. Most recently, I was Director of Resources and Volunteer Programs at a nonprofit organization and served as a case manager, guiding individuals in crisis toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.

Why I Do This Work

I’ve sat with parents who were overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, and exhausted from trying to piece it all together alone. They knew their child needed something more—more support, more understanding, more connection—but didn’t know how to ask for it or who to turn to.

I do this work because every parent deserves someone in their corner—someone who listens without judgment, who sees the whole picture, and who knows how to turn confusion into clarity. I want parents to feel grounded, capable, and hopeful. Most of all, I want them to know they’re not alone.

And As A Parent Myself

I’m the mother of two sons, both now in college. Through the years, I’ve learned to navigate the delicate balance between stepping in and stepping back—advocating when needed and trusting them to learn through their own experiences. Like many parents, I’ve felt the pride of watching them grow—and the ache when things didn’t go as hoped. As a parent, I understand how deeply personal and emotional this journey can be.
